Discount the usual parts markup on the pulley to your cost. Going on easy should have been a tip off that something was not right. Metric shaft and SAE pulley bore? I had that happen on after market.
What would the Chevy dealer shop have done? Said "oh, it needed a new pulley too", or sent the pickup out the door as fixed, and repaired under warranty?
