The agent will just hold your hand and not speak a word, the insurance claims agent is your contact, they will subrogate(maybe) to the carpenters insurance, first video all of the remnanats, all tool draws etc,if you have contents insurance it will go to the max, your building if not known to insurance co already needs to have photos from before fire to prove you maintained it,they will depreciate it if say you could chuck a cat through the walls,if its been kept up to date no problem on values. They will send an appraisal agent likely who will sift through debris, has the fire marshal been there? They can usually indicate a cause but will only pinpoint if death /injury (here),be aware if the subrogate to the next guys insurance your site will be tied up in litigation for months and months.Do not let them walk on concrete value, many co s try to say thats all ok still. There are private appraisers ,,if in doubt of ins co call one. They usually get a % of extra claim values.I am sorry for your loss,it is the worst feeling,,you do get better tools but just not all you had before,CL.Ebay
