| For Organic it just depends on what type of crop you are growing and how you grow it, For myself I grow 20 acres of a crop using a long term 4 ft weed barrier, so by using this weed barrier and no competition with weeds, it is just as easy for me to raise Organic as it is conventional and I can double my net price. But there is only one planter that I know of that you can plant through a thick weed barrier with and it is overseas. So that means planting on your knees using a utility knife, and I did that alone 7 miles worth in length over the last couple of years. I foliar feed 42 miles of row when you spray each side of the row. And by foliar feeding with no chemicals involved on those acres you can produce a very healthy plant with very good yields. Don't get me wrong I still raise other crops with GMO, but I have diversified the family farm with a lot of manual labor that should really pay off this year. | |
