Sioux Falls, SD
What's it cost you to carry those dollars for 5 months? What's it cost you to handle/haul it a second time. What is your handling loss 1%????. You never haul out more than you haul in. (With the exception of adding moisture to beans, however bean handling loss is higher than corn). Seasonally does your basis improve? A good rule of thumb is the market carry should be 140% of your cost to carry.
