Cows and calves all go through the chute at branding before pasture time. I sort 5 different ways out of the chute by tags. If I had no tags then they would all have to be let back out and sorted later. Also without tags if anything needs watched or treated would be hard to keep track of. If it works for you great but I’m going to keep tagging at birth.
