the guys with 30" rows all seem to be the ones who don't want to buy a splitter. yes it costs more.
am on 15" rows and even if the yield were the same ( they are not, have tested running my row head on the 30"s) I would not switch back. weed control is enough better to make the deal for me. ease of harvest is just about as big an issue as well.
