If cost of a large NAS is roughly equal to a used enterprise tape server, why would you go with used equipment over new? I don't know how old tape servers are, but when I hear about something running on tape it just sound like it's been obsolete for a decade already. You sound like you know tech better than I do, I guess I'm just curious what the pros to the server would be if cost is equal. | |
