If to water cattle, go solar.
How deep to water? Is 20 ft into water a few feet? A suction pump might work, if water isn't to deep to such up.
If you really want a windmill. You could put a check valve on top of the sand point. Use a bucket that runs right in the pipe. Don't know how long leathers would last, but would be short pull.
Put a weep hole below frost line. Small hole will rust shut. Can drill a bit bigger hole almost through the pipe. Hammer it full of solder, then drill a small hole through the middle of the solder. Or dril. Thread and put in a brass plug with a he srilled in that. Probbly would need to dig below frost line and but gravel or rock around the weep hole, so it would drain | |
