Ok so say you have a ship with 3 million bu sitting at Shenzhen port. You were good and got it landed there for $6 a bushel. Now what do you want to do with it? Are your hog herds located at the dock? Want to store it in the boat? $20k+/day for that one. Have a giant elevator next door?

So you’re suggesting we should pay the shipping storage and transportation for all the grain that is shipped across China? We already are paying via basis for the transportation to the gulf.... that’s why guys in north and South Dakota get a lower price than guys 10 miles from the Mississippi River ... and why guys in Texas get a better price than guys in Illinois and Iowa ... it’s not our problem how China gets their grain off of a ship and moved across their country
