You should all watch the video in the thread from yesterday. I don't know if it's all correct or not, but either way there's some fascinating points! I have to shake my head at all the guys here that talk about how superior China is at negotiating. Or how they own our debt. They are just simply superior at things. What? If they are a civilization that's thousands of years old, but yet are a developing nation. Our country isn't even 250 years in and we are the most powerful country in the world. China is buying. Hopefully they keep their word.



I thought that the comments on that video had some good points. One of them said that the belt and road initiative that China has been pursuing is in direct response to the reality that the USA controls the high seas. China knows that they will not be able to control the sea lanes themselves for many decades, so they're working on building overland trade routes that they can control.
