Thanks. I hope others find the benefits my wife, daughter and I have found from changing our diet. Good point and I have stated that many times, but it is good to do it every time. Type I and type II are almost like completely different diseases. They are both related to insulin but in opposite ways and they have the common problem of high blood glucose levels. But other than those connections have little in common. Type II is a condition of hyperinsulnemia. Too much insulin and insulin resistance. Type I is a lack of insulin. Type II pack on the fat because insulin is a fat growth hormone. Type I have no insulin production within the body so the body goes into hyper metabolism and literally burns itself up. There can be no fat accumulation without insulin. So type I require insulin shots or they live a short life. But a low carb diet can even benefit type I from what I have learned. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=keto+and+type+1+diabetes https://typeonegrit.blogspot.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Type1Grit Not medical advice.
