All these posts on here about gas engines not holding up and 99 percent of the gas antique tractors have been worked more than modern diesels. Keep in mind diesels are only better because of a turbo. Back before those spinning wheels got put on diesels they were typical more fuel efficient by a bit and produced less power and torque over a narrower power band.

Heck it wasn't until 94.5 with the 7.3 powerstoke that the 460 ford was dethroned for pulling power. 7.3 idi even factory turbo couldn't compete
