I knew I'd get some of these comments. But just stop and think about it - the cost of living goes up every year. Maybe not in a straight line but nobody lives on what they made 20 years ago. I know I'll get examples but look at the big picture. Everything goes up and costs more. We are looking at a 17% increase in health care premiums for our district. How does a district pay for that alone if funding doesn't increase?
Why do you expect the taxpayers to pay the 17 percent? Let me guess, you signed a contract with the teachers and must provide insurance at what ever cost? Sounds like another screwing for the tax payers. |
