NW Oklahoma | My mother’s twin brother, only son of ten children enlisted anyway and was killed in Germany, battle of bulge. My cousin found all the documents in The army archives of how and where they buried him and then two years later digging him up,accounting for body parts and when and how to meet the body at train depot. His body was accompanied by uniformed soldier and my grand father had to have mortician there. It was humbling to see all my grandfathers handwritten correspondence. Must have been very sad | |
