Subject: RE: Land clearing equipment question

I would buy a dozer before I bought an excavator. For that amount of area, I personally think the dozer would be more useful.

However, like other posters said, be very careful. Trees, limbs, branches can snap or fall in unexpected ways. Make sure the dozer has appropriate canopy and guards before using it. I'd start on an area with smaller trees while you get the hang of it. And I'd be apprehensive about letting your kids run it in heavy bush

I have a 30 yr old dozer about D6 size. Wish it was a little bigger sometimes. Cab would be nice too
Like others said, get something common so parts are easy to find.
