Urbana, OH | You are correct. I don’t have the measurements, but my machinist has a blue print made. I also had him make some extra copies of the one we got from Onion Farmer. If you’re sitting in the seat the side cover is on the right side. I’d assume that you’d have to drain it because you run this risk of contaminating your oil when you take the side cover off. The tranny we worked on was drained and already out of the tractor. If you get the side cover off and your bottom snap ring is gone let me know if you need a collar. I’ve shipped a couple out to some guys. I’m happy to help out fellow 4000 enthusiasts so I sell them for what the machinist makes them for plus shipping. Are you on Facebook by chance?
