I don't know about cars and trucks but running my JD 4230 manure spreading tractor in the evening when it's this cold makes starting it in the morning easier. Usually it's on a timer for a few hours but it has been plugged in 24/7 for a week and a half now and still needs a whiff below -10. Granted, it's only got just shy of 21,000 hours on it.
