 White Stone, Virginia | They are reasonably well paid for their job duties. i do not see any need to tip them. Restaurant workers are paid less assuming they will serve well enough to earn a tip. Notice I said EARN! Tips are not an entitlement. I worked for tips for five years while in school. If you provided average service you usually got 15%, if you were above average you often got extra. If you sucked you got none. Sometimes you provided good service and got none. That is life. I now tip according to how good I feel the service is. If something happens beyond the server's control I do not penalize them, but I do not reward poor service either. | |
