Not the same thing, but I wanted to tip a store employee who had always helpful to me on many visit. There’s a tip jar on the counter that was corporate approved, but it wasn’t the same. So I asked the employee if I could tip directly and they said unfortunately no. They hurried and went to ask the manager outside if an exception could be made.
