| You missed my point. Let’s do some math. Say your gross pay is $600 week; unemployment benefits are $360/week. $600-$360=$240. The actual backpay is the $240, the unemployment insurance fund contributed 60% of the “backpay”. Make sense now? Edit too add; my context was aimed as to the effect on the taxpayer, not the resultant effect on the federal worker. In the end, the worker is made whole, and not completely at the expense of the taxpayer. That is some of the misinformation I was trying to dispel.
