You would be surprised.
No, they won't get foreclosed right away, but nobody has any savings. So they put everything on the credit card, get pay-day loans and it snowballs from there. Even when they get their paid vacation money eventually, a lot will have trouble catching back up.
Not defending this at all, but it is sad how short sighted most people live.
