| I can follow that up with the Massey engineer who decided the obvious fill neck on the back of the transaxle is for the CVT, but the hydraulic fill neck is hidden under the right side platform for the cab. I'd wager the hydraulics have to be filled a heck of a lot more often than the transmission!
It doesn't help when the check decal that depicts a pair of gears on the rear dipstick gets rubbed off by hydraulic oil.
Granted, the only reason I'm pissed about it is because I was testing a planter and placed the zero pressure return into that fill neck thinking it was the hydraulic reservoir... about 30 minutes later the hydraulic reservoir was empty and I got to drain a ton of excess oil from the CVT. Good times. | |
