Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Thanks for the sketch. I'm sure I can learn from it.
I copied and pasted the sketch into my Arduino IDE. I tried compiling it.
The following error message appeared. It apparently is related to your shiftupin function. I may try copying and pasting again. I watched a tutorial about the scope of variables but I am not clear in this case.
I just looked over the sketch briefly, I notice you use an array apparently for the various positions of the actuator. I think I will print it out and see if i can follow through your logic as a good mental exercise. By having it on paper I can make some notes as I think through it. This may bring up more questions.
My understanding is that you put an automatic transmission in a tractor where the shift linkage is controlled by a single actuator. The actuator is controlled by the Arduino which has two toggle switches for inputs., Various LEDs and the actuator are the outputs. The LEDs allow the operator to observe the switch combinations as far as forward, neutral, reverse and the gears selected.
