Johnny, i agree, very valid points.

Thats why I placed learning blocks on every field my regular clients plant, this case was a last minute attempt to convince a guy who has been on the fence about my whole program.

I made vrt corn and bean maps for nearly 20k acres. Made blocks that increased and ones that decreased populations in Good zones and Poor zones, and most fields got bkocks in the middle zones too. Most fields got 2 sets of these, so 8-12 blocks per field. I encouraged growers to also do some regular flat rate strips. Some did some didnt.

I walk many of these blocks and strips throughout the year or at least preharvest, as a yield or moisture map can only tell you so muxh. Computer analysis us done on good, cleaned data. Confidence maps show where this years crop either yielded as expected or not. Areas that correlate less than .7 get looked especially close. Seed and nutrient efficiencies get looked etc. Often i have 2 or 3 different kinds of analysis, and when they all agree and i combine what I see from walking preharvest im pretty confident changes need to get made or were doing pretty good.
