NW IL | One thing I did learn is that when I had "NMEA Talker" turned on in the 6500, the RMC strings were reported as "GNRMC". If I turned "NEMA Talker" off the RMC strings were reported as "GPRMC".
GPRMC = GPS only
GNRMC = GLONASS + GPS
John Deere GS3 wants RMC as "GPRMC" instead of "GNRMC". I figured this out through trial and error. I had a 1500 that I could get to communicate with GS3. Initially I couldn't quite get the 6500 to work. I then compared the NMEA logs between the two units and discovered the difference in RMC.
