Subject: Farmer's explanation of herbicide cost savings

here is the explanation I received from Jack Boyer:

The actual net savings would have been $10. $40 (cost of Cobra+application) -$30 (cost of cover crop seed + seeding).
I used the cost of product + ISU published application/drilling cost.

In 2016, I didn't have a no cover strip comparison, but didn't need the post cobra application.
On other farms without covers, cobra was required.

Just in case there is any confusion, I was NOT involved with this Practical Farmers of IA research project.

I received an email discussing the new PFI report yesterday and decided to share the report with NAT.
