You either get a camera with an ethernet port built in, or you get a video capture device in a computer. Those will allow you to capture video from several devices at once.

Pretty much all video products are going to have some kind of security on them so that only you will be able to view the video feed.

I'm using several systems that were purchased through Skyway Security. I have a couple of the NC-1600 cameras in use, capturing 640x480 video and sending it to a server at a different site. I also have PC based DVR system at another site that is capturing video from 8 cameras, only saving the video with motion detected, and then sending that video off to a different location.

Is 640x480 good enough resolution to see what you need to see?
