southern MN | I had a tractor and 300bu wagon, went on one of the 2 scales, weighed, light blinked green backed up to unload, pulled ahead, light on far, empty scale blinked green. Then my scale blinked green, pulled off and picked up my slip.
Looked at it and I had hauled in a little over 1000 bu on that 300bu wagon.... My empty weight was zero....
Drove around and went into the office, the guy couldn't figure out how that happened. He was glad I could pull back on and get my empty weight right.
I believe he took my full weight on my scale, and got the empty weight from the empty scale beside me. Because I saw that empty scale flicker green.....
About 3 times in my day they forgot to weigh a load after probing, would always ask how much I had and add 10 bu or so, compare to previous loads so I wasn't out of line but take my number. That is a long day in a weigh house, I donno how they keep it as straight as they do!
