Washington Co Ks | I had a lady try to pull on the scale with me one time. I had observed her coming into town with a load and pulling right on the scale ahead of another truck. It was also kind of an unwritten rule to let the empty trucks weigh out first but she would regularly pull on ahead of an empty truck even though she then had to wait in line to get unloaded. One time when I was starting to pull forward toward the scale empty I saw her coming into town. I hurried up and got on the scale and sure enough she was not planning on stopping even though there was another full truck waiting . I was fully on the scale before she got there but she had the front wheels of her truck on the scale before she got stopped. She actually waited for a while expecting me to back off but I just sat there and she ended up backing off. She never tried that again as far as I know. All it took was someone to stand up to her. | |
