Washington Co Ks | Some years ago when I was cutting wheat I changed farms so I went in the office to tell them whose it was. I waited for the scale man to pull a sample and tell me that I was good to go and dump. This was a year that they were testing the wheat for some kind of toxin that I can't remember right now. There were three or four guys in the office who were loudly complaining about the amount of dock that this elevator was taking on their wheat. They weren't mincing words about what they thought and the scale man could sure hear all of this. When I weighed back and went in to get my ticket the scale man was leaning on the counter with a strange look on his face. I knew right away that something was wrong. I stood there for a little while and he said "I forgot to weigh your full load." He called the main office and they looked up my loads and gave me the weight of the biggest load even though I told them that it wasn't quite that full. | |
