Wanda, SW MN | I've got 3 that come to mind. 1) A divorced trucker and former farmer was hauling out of the elevator. He asked my neighbor Scott "You aren't married are you". Scott replied "No". Trucker replies "I should introduce you to my ex wife, she could use another farm". 2) Fall harvest with long lines. Elevator opens up and truck that wasn't in line pulls right in. Everyone ticked off and ready to let the driver have an ear full. Driver, new to the area and elevator is a very good looking young lady. Attitudes quickly changed. 3) Many years ago I was hauling corn, cash price was about $1.75. An old timer asked what I thought should be done with the corn, store or sell. I said "If we're patient. I think we can get a buck and a half". | |
