ND | Farmers sometimes go for changes in the machinery world-in 1973 or 74 when Deere came out with the Sound Gard Cab was a place for IH to change but they had placed an order for so many cabs -that was from 1974 thro 1977 that they lost sales due to noise, & other issues like open center vs closed center on JD--JD had better steering-planetary rear ends vs bull gear --IH came with the 5088-5288-5488 the New #1's about 8 years too late. In the middle 90's Genesis came out & gave JD some lost sales for a couple years when JD was switching to the 8000 line from the 60 series, Deere stayed with the 60 series maybe one year too long. | |
