Did you choose that phrase carefully? I remember the stories of the product intro where they showed a new series in white paint. It was prior to the Magnums, but I can't recall exactly what tractors. The dealer reaction was so strong that Case IH rethought and went with red.

It was a tough time for the industry. Allis got bought out around this time as well. In 85, I started my ag dealer journey by becoming a tech in an Allis dealer shop. Hard to believe that was so long ago. The big business then was firesaling the overbuilt 8000 series tractors that Deutz had no interest in.
