NWPA
Know 2 guys that did just thatin the last 12 yrs. Both about 35 and both in top ten biggest farmers in the county. Neither slept much..... I know that. And when people say your are lucky to farm I think of them..... if luck is working that hard than yup luck.

( a lot of envious 9 to 5 ers make comments so I make a point to call hem on a Saturday or Sunday to see if they want o get some hrs in.....I offer fair pay and the gravy jobs..... you can bet what the answer is.

( side note a good wife is the biggest key, I have never been trick or treating with my kids, but they get to go, she makes the farm work as much as anyone)

So the list
Good wife
Good credit
Good bank
Good with people
HARD WORKER
A high tolerance for risk
SMART ( dumb farmer is a myth)
Willing to do a lot of crappy jobs
