northeast ohio | Agree with FD that we need to understand the customers needs. There's not an employee in a Chipotle that doesn't have messages about ingredients plastered all over their shirt. The company certainly has a set of standards that producers, such as the post below, must meet to receive premiums. Are they reasonable expectations? Is the compensation appropriate?
Chipotle's model is to procure as direct as possible and with 1200 to 1500 locations the volume is significant. Then they add value on location through preparation, cooking and direct customer influence over individual meal preparation. Not sure this explains a 10x stock price increase in < 5 years, but it does suggest there is return based on a true value proposition and not performance based upon ad campaigns. Also agree with Previous posts that ag should work together when ads are misleading.
