Pat H - 2/17/2008 14:12 Part of the sales pitch is that I would not like the ezg+ with the ez steer and rtk, so I had to have a 500. Apparently in the trimble configuration the ezg+ is more of a key component, where it sounds like it's along for the ride with the mojo. The EZ-Guide+ is not a part of the equation at all if you don't want it to be with the mojoRTK but the EZ-Steer is very much a key component with the mojoRTK unless your tractor is already equiped with auto-steer. I have also heard that the EZ-Guide 500 works much better with the EZ-Steer but we don't have one yet so I can't confirm it. I will say that our EZ-Guide+ does a good job of running our EZ-Steer as long as you stay below 6 mph. It will rarely say that you're more than 3 inches off and 3 inches at the tractor is probably not as much back at the implement. However, if you run a sprayer at 12+ mph you will see the EZ-Steer letting you drift off maybe 8 to 12". I have often wondered if this would be better with an EZ-Guide 500. I want it to be clear that when I'm saying its 3 inches off I mean that the EZ-Guide plus screen says that we're 3 inches from where we should be. It does not mean that I got out and measured it and it's three inches off. I have been trying to get someone to tell me how much RTK costs on the EZ-Guide 500 and EZ-Steer. You're saying $13,000 initially. That's definitely more than I expected....perhaps it will cost me more to do the EZ-Guide+ with RTK than I originally thought.
