It does sound like a left DA. If the vet is not available, sometimes you can fix them by laying the cow down on her right side and slowly rolling her clockwise (when looking at her from the rear) until she is laying on her left side. Give her some calcium (she is probably low if she has not been eating), and dextrose IV (to take care of the ketosis). If you can't do an IV, then calcium bolus or gel + propelyne gycol. This treatment works about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, she will twist again in about 3-5 days and you will need to do surgery.
