I don't think the commodity prices long term are going to effect farming that much. If we have strong commodity prices I think we will make sure that we raise rent and land prices enough so that we do not have to  worry about too much income long term. I also think that higher commodity prices like we have now are going to bring a lot of land into production in the black sea region and also Brazil. I think there is over 10 times as much good crop producing land that is not in production over seas as there is in the whole US in production right now. If the extra production from other countries drives our prices down then I think after a few tough years we will have a set back in production costs similar to the 80's.
