west central illinois | That is an interesting thought. I just have been told the corporations are going to take over since I was in grade school. I became very tired of people telling my age group that there wasnt going to be any family farms left it was all going to be farmed by a few individuals. Sure there aren't as many farmers but the average farm in central Illinois is still no large monster corporate farms. There have been a few try but the logistics and management, and mother nature, are too much for most. Sure some have made it, there's is only one left here and it has taken him 30 years to get where he is. I think your scenario is more plausible in Asia, or Russia, Africa, but not so much here. It would take a crisis worse than the eighties to get to where you think we are heading. | |
