For those complaining about gardens too close to your fields, why don't you visit with those neighbors and explain to them that your chemicals may drift onto their property so they may want to move their garden. My guess is that you'll probably be the one walking away thinking you need to get some common sense. Until auto guidance takes into consideration wind speed and direction, you'll have to manually factor those variables in and not spray right to the edge of your field. A cultivator can also be used in area's where chemicals are risky. Making a living farming doesn't have to come at the expense of neighbors changing their ways. Tick off enough neighbors and someday we'll have property set-backs where we can no longer spray.

As for the original poster, if possible buy new plants and go over and plant them in the garden. It'll be a good way to get to know the neighbor. It's kind of like knocking over a mailbox, your mistake, your problem to fix with your time and sweat.
