In the case of wheat we core the bin by drawing some out 500 bushels on a 10k bin, 1000 on a 22k bin. The key is to level the bin after you have cored it by scooping it level, not by refilling. Those fined you pulled out need to go to market. If you leave the cone in the bin, you won't get bugs, but you will get snow that settles in the bottom of the cone and melts, then turns to ice or spoilage toward the bottom. Once it is leveled, run the fans when it is cool and things will go pretty well so long as moisture does not become a problem such as snow. Make an effort to look at it at least every month in the winter and more frequently as it warms up. If you work it right, you can hold it long enough to sell it for 4 bucks........
