Subject: How do you guys hold grain for long periods?

Martinsville, Ohio

Drying and storing grain is an art, well based on science I have learned.  I can get by until summer if lucky but someone must spend money to really get it dry below market specs to hold it much longer.

I never had the advantage of not needing the money sooner so it is probably more of an economic problem for me.

I am an older farmer but not well healed if you know what I mean.  Even if you are well healed you must understand grain drying and holding to even come close to meeting market highs like old corn last fall and old beans and wheat this fall.

How do you do it?
