NW Iowa
We have sent many packages and many of the ideas are very good, wet wipes, jerky, toiletries, but a couple items we sent and were very well received was magazines, local newspapers and even machinery literature brochures. One day my wife and I were at a local restaurant and on their menu they had flatbread pizza. That struck an idea in my wife's mind and we will send flatbread along with pizza sauce in cans, varieties of cheese and pepperonie. We got thank-yous to the cazoo on that idea. The flat rate boxes can not be beat, our personal best is 17 pounds in one box. We try to send at least one box per month to a service member we may not even know, just know a grandmother, grandfather, father or mother, brother or sister. We have gotten a written thank you every time and one time we even got a phone call from overseas. Thank God for our troops!!!
