I purposely let the fields get pretty dry before harvest as it seems to be hard enough to get triticale to dry to 60% for silage anyway. Very few wheel ruts, and most times I'll swath in a circle with the pivot and plant corn straight so we don't notice the wheel ruts as much if there are any. This is just a small corner of a pivot anyway, so not many ruts in this part.
