As you just mentioned, there is not enough of it. The mechanical switches aren't up to snuff and that's where the failures occur. Solid state circuitry is evidently much more reliable. The Raven folks must be cheapening up what they're using today. My 440 is starting 10 years of use here and the master switch hasn't failed yet. I hope they used better stuff back in those days. I'm continually amazed by the accuracy of the rate controller. Now if I could drive as accurately as the controller doles out chemical, life would be much better.
