West-Central IL | Not that I would want one but I'll give our 2 real life hauling scenarios where they "could" work.
1. My personal record, back when I was in my 30s was dumping 22 loads up a 10" auger to the dryer using our two semis. We'll say each truck had 11 loads. The field was 3.5 miles away, so we'll say 8 miles round trip. That's 88 miles per day for each truck. Plus a decent amount of idle time while unloading, i do shut them off while they're at the field getting loaded while im gone with the other one.
2. During spring or winter hauling from the bin site, using our best bins with 10" unload augers, I'd say 7 loads per day is the best I can ever do with 1 truck. Its a 16 mile round trip to the river, that gives me 112 miles per day for one truck.
Probably a very common trucking setup for many of the farms in our immediate county area. I know everywhere is different.
But it "could" be a farm reality someday.
