In my opinion the Edison motors concept makes the most sense. (Diesel/electric similar to a locomotive)
They are also pursuing retrofits on old trucks.

Id imagine since they aren't nearly as reliant on batteries compared to a full plug in, id imagine they'd be cheaper upkeep long term.
Though with people currently adopting full emissions trucks with auto shifts like they are, I don't know how many people care about long term upkeep costs anymore. Seems the standard procedure is buy some plastic pos fleet truck then act shocked when it falls apart.
