Wisconsin | Seems like school buses are one of the more ideal applications for electric power, and they've failed spectacularly. A vehicle that gets used for a month or so per year, but sometimes heavy use in that time, does not seem like a logical application for EVs at this point. I would be snapping up a used EV to replace one of my current vehicles, when the cost becomes competitive, but we're a long way from there, and the reliability might not hold up once we get to that point.
The edison hybrid diesel seems like more suitable choice for farm hauling, but not sure how that would work out either with long periods of storage/low use. | |
