We have a whirlpool with the removable agitator. That is a whole new, better world. Coveralls, coats, comforters, blankets, if it fits it can be washed and not wrecked.
We looked at a speed queen, but that tub was tiny compared to the old maytag and minute compared to the new whirlpool.
Our Speed Queen had a smaller tub then the Maytag it replaced which only lasted 4 years, but it washes aload of clothes in 30 minutes instead of an hour and actually I think my wife gets more in the SQ, but she may overload it it abit from time to time LOL, the first Maytag that the last MayTag replaced was 26 years old or so, motor went to heck a number of years before we replaced, went to the tdump and got a SQ motor in it and that lasted till the seals went, I figured that it did not pay to try and put seals in it, kind of think I should have. Oh my wife hated that Maytag that only lasted 4 years!!!!
