Agreed. I have a small herd I run as terminal. I buy some late calvers from a friend. Run them a couple years and sell them to my fil for his fall herd. Calve them in May. Pull bulls from the main herd after 60 days and dump them in with these until spring. I’m more consistently profitable with these. All parties involved seem happy with the arrangement. Maybe can market the later calving cows to someone like that?
